  • Friends Inspire Community at Second Jewelry Sale
    The Friends of the Scotch Plains Public Library held their second annual jewelry sale from April 30 to May 2, raising more than the first sale for the library. The event kicked off at the Friends’ third annual Poetry Night and ran through the weekend. More sales are planned — visit scotchplainsfriends.org to stay connected.
  • In a New Jersey Library, Poetry Found a Room of Its Own
    The Friends of the Scotch Plains Public Library hosted their third annual poetry night on April 30, welcoming 28 community members for an evening of original verse. Three New Jersey poets — Moriah Cohen, Ariana Merquri, and Judith Christian — performed original work, with Cohen also spotlighting her students. Books were available for sale following the reading.
  • Trivia Night Draws Crowd, Raises Nearly $500 for Library
    The Friends of the Scotch Plains Public Library hosted a sold-out Trivia Night, drawing over 50 community members for an evening of fun and friendly competition. Across two games and six themed categories, teams battled it out for bragging rights — and raised nearly $500 for the library in the process.
